Landscaping and interior work are progressing rapidly, and we are firmly on track for construction to be completed in early to mid-2026. Announced on May 20, 2022, the Montpelier Idaho Temple will proudly stand as the eighth temple in Idaho. Located at Washington St, Montpelier, ID 83254, the temple features a striking central tower that will make a bold statement. With a spacious 27,000 square feet, it will offer two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, providing essential spaces for worship and community connection.
Set at an elevation of 5,969 feet, this temple sits elegantly on 2.6 acres of beautiful land, complementing Idaho’s impressive landscape perfectly. The groundbreaking ceremony on June 17, 2023, led by Elder Ryan K. Olsen, marked a significant milestone. Elder Olsen’s blessings for the project highlighted the profound impact this temple will have on the community, promoting peace and understanding.
Montpelier has a rich history, tracing back to the early pioneers of 1855, and boasts a vibrant community of over 2,500 residents. The official rendering of the temple, unveiled on April 24, 2023, showcases a design that truly reflects the spirit and heritage of the area.
