Landscaping and interior finish work are bustling along, and we anticipate that construction will wrap up by early to mid-2026. Officially announced on May 20, 2022, the Montpelier Idaho Temple is set to be the eighth temple in the beautiful state of Idaho. It boasts a prime location at Washington St, Montpelier, ID 83254, and features a striking single attached tower that will be the centerpiece of the building. Spanning 27,000 square feet, it will include two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, providing a sacred space for worship and community gatherings.
Positioned at an elevation of 5,969 feet and sitting on 2.6 acres of picturesque land, this temple promises to blend seamlessly with Idaho’s breathtaking landscape. The groundbreaking ceremony on June 17, 2023, led by Elder Ryan K. Olsen, was a memorable day where blessings were invoked for all those involved—an inspiring testament to the hopes that this temple will bring peace and understanding to its future visitors.
Montpelier, with its charming population of over 2,500 residents, has roots that trace back to early church pioneers in 1855.
