Landscaping and interior finishes are on track, with construction estimated to wrap up in early to mid-2026. And anticipation is building—an open house and dedication ceremony will follow just months after completion!
Announced on May 20, 2022, the Montpelier Idaho Temple stands proudly as the eighth temple built in the state. Nestled at the address of Washington St, Montpelier, ID 83254, this beautiful structure features a striking central tower and encompasses 27,000 square feet. Inside, it will boast two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, making it a vital space for worship and community.
Built at an elevation of 5,969 feet and spread across 2.6 acres of land, the temple is set against the stunning backdrop of Idaho’s natural beauty. The groundbreaking, held on June 17, 2023, was a momentous occasion led by Elder Ryan K. Olsen, who offered heartfelt blessings for everyone involved in this sacred project.
The Montpelier community, with a rich history dating back to its pioneering days in 1855, has a vibrant population of over 2,500 people that eagerly await this new addition. The official rendering of the temple was unveiled on April 24, 2023, showcasing a design that harmonizes with the spirit of the area.
