The announcement of the Reno Nevada Temple was made on April 12, 1999. Just a few months later, on July 24, 1999, Rex D. Pinegar oversaw the groundbreaking and site dedication. The public had the opportunity to explore the Temple during a special open house from April 8 through 15, 2000. Shortly after, it was dedicated by the Prophet Thomas S. Monson.

Located at 2000 Beaumont Pkwy, Reno, Nevada 89523, this impressive building spans 10,700 square feet and sits on a spacious 7.9 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. The elevation of the site is 5,195 feet, providing a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape.
