The journey of the Brigham City Utah Temple began on October 3, 2009, when Prophet Thomas S. Monson announced its construction during the 179th Semiannual General Conference. The ground was ceremoniously broken on July 31, 2010, by Apostle Boyd K. Packer, marking the official start of a new chapter for the community.
After a public open house from August 15 to September 15, 2012, the Temple was officially dedicated on September 23, 2012. Apostle Boyd K. Packer presided over the dedication, which was a momentous occasion for many.
Unique Features and Design
Spanning an impressive 36,000 square feet, the Brigham City Utah Temple rises to a height of 165 feet, built at an elevation of 4,454 feet. The exterior is adorned with precast concrete limestone, providing a timeless aesthetic that blends harmoniously with the surroundings.
The Temple features two attached end spires, crowned with a golden Angel Moroni statue—an iconic representation in Latter-day Saint architecture. The installation of the Angel Moroni was completed in just 50 minutes, with over 5000 members of the community witnessing the momentous occasion.

Unlike many other Temples, the Brigham City Utah Temple does not have a meetinghouse located within the same parking lot, which makes for a unique setting. Accessibility is enhanced with a two-story underground garage, accessible from the west side of the Temple, accommodating 130 vehicles. Additional parking includes 123 surface stalls and 29 street stalls, providing ample space for those who wish to visit.

The site where the Brigham City Utah Temple now stands holds historical significance, as it was once the location of an old school that was demolished in years past.
