The Lindon Utah Temple: A New Chapter Begins

Excitement is building for the Lindon Utah Temple, which will be a notable addition to the beautiful landscape of Utah. The Open House is scheduled from March 12, 2026, to April 11, 2026, offering the public an opportunity to experience its beauty before the dedication on May 3, 2026.

Location and Dedication

Nestled at 850 E Center Street in Lindon, Utah, the Temple is set on an expansive 11.87 acres. Its elevation of 4,817 feet allows it to stand tall, providing a stunning view of the surrounding area.

The announcement for this significant addition was made by the Prophet Russell M. Nelson on October 4, 2020. Following this, the groundbreaking and site dedication took place on April 23, 2022, led by Elder Kevin W. Pearson. His words during the event captured the spirit of unity and love that this project aims to foster in the community.

Architectural Features

The exterior of the Lindon Utah Temple features beautiful granite, complemented by striking elements such as two attached end spires. Distinctively, this Temple will not include the gold-leafed Angel Moroni statue. Inside, there will be four instruction rooms that seat 50 people each and four sealing rooms. Additionally, two baptistries will serve to meet the needs of those seeking spiritual experiences. The total floor area comes to an impressive 87,005 square feet.

A special touch can be found in the decor, as the stained glass will reflect the agrarian roots of the area, prominently featuring the Linden tree flower.

Bridal Photography Area

For those looking to capture special moments, a gathering area is thoughtfully designed at the northeast corner of the grounds, perfect for bridal parties wanting to have the Temple in the background of their photographs.

Surrounding Features

A beautifully arranged parking lot will encircle the Temple with ornate black fencing, enhancing the overall aesthetics and functionality of the site.

Supporting Lindon

The Lindon Utah Temple is poised to support the small city of Lindon, with a population of around 11,000. Located just south of Pleasant Grove and north of Orem, this addition will further enrich the local atmosphere. This Temple will be the 25th dedicated Temple in Utah and the seventh built in Utah County, marking a significant milestone for the state.

Leadership

The first President and Matron of the Temple will be Lynn McKinlay Brätt and Elizabeth Ann Prestwich Brätt, leading the efforts to guide and support all who participate in its offerings.

The Lindon Utah Temple represents not just a physical building but a commitment to fostering peace, love, and unity. With its grand opening on the horizon, the excitement in the area continues to grow, and all eyes are on Lindon as this remarkable endeavor unfolds.
