Groundbreaking for the Lindon Utah Temple took place on April 23, 2022. During the site dedication, Elder Kevin W. Pearson expressed hopes that the construction would foster peace, love, and unity within the community. With a total floor area of 87,005 square feet, this Temple occupies 11.87 acres and is situated at an elevation of 4,817 feet. The exterior is adorned with granite, giving it a polished appearance.
One of the most intriguing architectural features includes two attached end spires, distinguished by the absence of a gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue. Inside, the Temple boasts four instruction rooms, each capable of seating 50 individuals, alongside four sealing rooms and two baptistries.
Unique Design Elements
The design of the Lindon Utah Temple incorporates local agricultural roots, with stained glass decor reflecting the unique beauty of the Linden Tree Flower. An area has been designated at the northeast corner where bridal parties can capture stunning photographs of the Temple, framed by its breathtaking backdrop.
Surrounding Environment
In addition to its striking design, the Temple area is enhanced by a circular parking lot that wraps around the building, enclosed with black ornamental fencing. This thoughtful approach is meant to provide a seamless experience for those who come to this location.
