The Heber Valley Utah Temple is set to be a remarkable addition to the landscape of Wasatch County. Announced on October 3, 2021, its groundbreaking took place on October 8, 2022, conducted by Prophet Russell M. Nelson. This Temple is designed to be a significant spiritual establishment for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Located at 1400 E Center St, Heber City, Utah 84032, the Heber Valley Utah Temple will occupy an expansive 18.17-acre lot. With an impressive architectural design, it features two attached end towers, but notably lacks a Gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue. The Temple will cover a total of 87,626 square feet, classifying it as a large Temple in the Church.
Construction and Environmental Considerations
As part of the construction process, dewatering is underway, involving the drilling of 20 wells. Water will be pumped into large tanks and then transported to Lake Creek, situated just south of the site. Importantly, this dewatering will have no negative effect on the surrounding environment.

Inside, the Heber Valley Utah Temple will house four instruction rooms, four sealing rooms, and a single baptistry. Its height will reach 210 feet, sitting at an elevation of 6,711 feet once completed. These features reflect the Temple’s dedication to serving its members in various capacities.
