A Journey of Faith
The vision for the Bacolod Philippines Temple was first announced by Prophet Russell M. Nelson during the 189th Semiannual General Conference on October 5, 2019. Following this significant announcement, the groundbreaking and site dedication took place on December 11, 2021, led by Elder Taniela B. Wakolo.
As anticipation has built over the years, the public open house runs from April 16th to May 2nd, 2026, offering a unique opportunity for individuals to explore the space intimately before the official dedication. Following this groundbreaking event, the dedication itself is set for May 31, 2026, conducted by Apostle Neil L. Anderson.
Architectural Highlights
The design features a stunning cream-colored exterior, which is capped with a distinctive bronze-domed cupola, creating a striking visual presence. The Bacolod Philippines Temple boasts a single, attached central tower, enhancing its grandeur. Inside, there are two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, thoughtfully arranged to accommodate various needs.
At an elevation of 93 feet, the edifice stands not only as a place of contemplation but also as a point of interest due to its prominent height. Additionally, plans include a separate building for patron housing, ensuring convenience for those who may need extended services. A distribution center will also exist on the same lot in a separate edifice, further enriching the surrounding area.
