Within the state, there are approximately 46,000 Latter-day Saints organized into roughly 85 groups.
This Temple will occupy 8.8 acres and feature a total of 18,850 square feet. At an elevation of 953 feet, it will stand in an accessible location just off Interstate 85. This location is particularly beneficial, as it will significantly cut down travel times for residents of the upstate who currently make longer journeys to the Columbia South Carolina Temple.
Architectural Design
On May 27, 2026, the exterior rendering of the Greenville South Carolina Temple was released to the public. This design showcases classical architectural elements, including a prominent pedimented entrance supported by columns, accompanied by an ornamented steeple. The white tower body with a metal-clad spire elevates the aesthetic appeal of the building.
