The Vernal Utah Temple officially opened its doors to the public with an open house from October 11 to October 25, 1997, during which an impressive 18,000 people toured the facility. Following the open house, the dedication of the Temple took place from November 2 to November 4, 1997, once again led by Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley.

Built on a 1.6-acre site, the Vernal Utah Temple spans 38,771 square feet and stands at a height of 98 feet.
