The Heber Valley Utah Temple was announced on October 3, 2021, during a momentous session of the General Conference. Just over a year later, on October 8, 2022, the groundbreaking and site dedication took place, led by Prophet Russell M. Nelson. This significant occasion marked a hopeful new chapter, as the community anticipates the blessings this Temple will bring.

Situated on an 18.17-acre lot at 1400 E Center St, Heber City, Utah 84032, the Heber Valley Utah Temple will blend harmoniously with its stunning rural surroundings. Nestled in Wasatch County, this picturesque mountain valley, located a little over 40 miles from Salt Lake City, offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere.

Architectural Highlights

The design of the Heber Valley Utah Temple includes two attached end towers, offering a unique aesthetic. Unlike many other Temples, it will not feature a Gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue, presenting a distinctive look that is sure to capture attention.

Inside, the Temple will house four instruction rooms and four sealing rooms, alongside a single baptistry. With a total area of 87,626 square feet, this will classify the Heber Valley Utah Temple as a large Temple within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as it exceeds the 80,000 square feet mark. Standing at a height of 210 feet and an elevation of 6,711 feet, this addition to the Heber Valley is poised to become a prominent presence.
