Groundbreaking and Construction Journey

The groundbreaking and site dedication took place on April 23, 2022, led by Elder Kevin W. Pearson. During this poignant event, he remarked, “May the construction of Thy holy house here in Lindon continue to bless this community with peace, love and unity.” Since then, the progress has been closely observed by the local population, including the city’s residents.

The Lindon Utah Temple covers an impressive area of 11.87 acres with a total floor space of 87,005 square feet. Its exterior is adorned with granite, creating a striking visual presence. Unique architectural features include two attached end spires without a gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue, providing a modern and elegant design. The Temple is built at an elevation of 4,817 feet, enhancing its visibility in the surrounding landscape.

Interior Details

Inside, the Temple is equipped with four instruction rooms, each designed to accommodate 50 people, alongside four sealing rooms and two baptistries. The decor throughout the Temple incorporates elements that pay homage to the area’s agrarian roots, including motifs of the Linden Tree Flower.

In the northeast corner, a specific area is designated for bridal parties to capture memories with the Temple in the background. Surrounding the Temple, a circular parking lot is bordered by black ornamental fencing, contributing to the refined aesthetic.

Upcoming Events and Timeline

The Lindon Utah Temple is set to open for an open house from March 12, 2026, through April 11, 2026, providing an opportunity for the public to explore its beauty and features. Following this, the official dedication will take place on May 3, 2026.

This Temple will be the 25th dedicated Temple in Utah and the seventh Temple in Utah County, supporting a small city of approximately 11,000 residents.
