A Brief History

The journey toward the Tijuana Mexico Temple began with an announcement on October 2, 2010, by the Prophet Thomas S. Monson during General Conference. This occasion set the stage for the official dedication, which occurred on December 13, 2015. Apostle Dieter F. Uchtdorf dedicated the Temple, expressing heartfelt appreciation with the words: “As we approach Thee in prayer, O God our Eternal Father, we lift our voices in thanksgiving and love on this historic day to dedicate the Tijuana Mexico Temple unto Thee…”
