Austin Texas Temple Consturction Progress

The Austin Texas Temple, located at 1801 East Park Street in Cedar Park, Texas, is a significant addition to the community. The announcement of the temple was made on April 3, 2022, by Prophet Russell M. Nelson, highlighting the importance of this sacred space for members of the faith.

The groundbreaking and site dedication of the temple took place on August 17, 2024, officiated by Michael A. Dunn, marking the beginning of construction for this spiritual landmark. Encompassing an area of 30,000 square feet, the temple features a single attached central tower, which is a notable architectural highlight.

Inside, the Austin Texas Temple houses two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, providing essential facilities for various religious ceremonies and instruction. The temple is built on a 10.6-acre lot, providing ample space for the sacred structure and its surroundings.

The elevation of the temple is 897 feet, contributing to its prominent presence in the area. A rendering of the temple was released to the public on September 5, 2023, offering a glimpse into its beautiful design and the role it will play in the community’s spiritual life.
