Announced by Prophet Russell M. Nelson on October 3, 2021, this location represents a significant development for many in the region.

The ceremonial groundbreaking and site dedication took place on September 27, 2024, officiated by Elder Steven R. Bangerter. During the dedication, Elder Bangerter expressed hopes that all who come into contact with this Temple will experience “a spirit of peace,” further enhancing their lives with joy, prosperity, beauty, and unity.

Covering 4.69 acres, this inviting place features an exterior characterized by a single attached central tower, standing at an impressive height of 101 feet. The design includes no gold-leafed angel Moroni statue, making it distinctively simple yet elegant. A rendering was unveiled to the public on March 27, 2023, showcasing a multi-steepled design capped with a pyramidal spire.

The Cody Wyoming Temple spans 8,050 square feet and includes essential facilities such as one instructional room, one sealing room, and a baptistry, all designed to cater to the needs of those seeking to deepen their understanding and experience of faith.
