Open House and Dedication Dates Announced for the Lindon Utah Temple
The Lindon Utah Temple, located at 850 E Center Street, Lindon, Utah 84042, has become a significant addition to the area since its announcement on October 4, 2020, by Prophet Russell M. Nelson. This exquisite Temple sits on 11.87 acres and is designed to serve the faithful and enhance the local environment by providing a serene space for reflection and connection.
Key Dates and Details
The public Open House for the Lindon Utah Temple is scheduled from March 12, 2026, through April 11, 2026. This period offers an opportunity to explore the Temple before it is dedicated on May 3, 2026. The Temple’s groundbreaking and site dedication took place on April 23, 2022, with Elder Kevin W. Pearson stating, “May the construction of Thy holy house here in Lindon continue to bless this community with peace, love and unity.”
Architectural Features
The exterior of the Lindon Utah Temple is adorned with granite, showcasing a brilliant design characterized by two attached end spires. Interestingly, it will not feature a gold-leafed statue of the Angel Moroni. The total floor area of the Temple is an impressive 87,005 square feet, built at an elevation of 4,817 feet.
Inside, the Temple is equipped with four instruction rooms, each accommodating 50 people, alongside four sealing rooms and two baptistries. Notably, the architectural decor throughout the Temple incorporates elements reflecting the area’s agrarian roots, including designs inspired by the Linden Tree Flower.

At the north-east corner of the grounds, there’s a designated area for bridal parties to capture beautiful photographs with the Temple in the background. This thoughtful design element enhances the overall experience for those marking important life events.
Surrounding Amenities
A unique feature of the Lindon Utah Temple is the circular parking lot that encircles the Temple, complete with black ornamental fencing. This layout not only adds to the aesthetics but also facilitates ease of access for those attending activities at the Temple.

The Lindon Utah Temple will serve the small city of Lindon, home to roughly 11,000 residents, as well as neighboring areas such as Pleasant Grove and Orem. This Temple marks the 25th dedicated Temple in Utah and the seventh in Utah County.
