Scheduled for completion in late 2027, the Provo Utah Rock Canyon Temple will occupy a 17-acre site, larger than the previous site of 15 acres, thanks to the removal of the road at the old front. This Temple will stretch an impressive 163,000 square feet and will sit at an elevation of approximately 4,876 feet (1,486 meters) above sea level. The central feature will be a single attached spire, distinctively without a gold-leafed Angel Moroni, which is currently in storage.
Construction Details
Construction began on February 24, 2024, and significant progress has been made. Currently, the exterior is being clad in granite; while only the lower half has been installed, all outer windows are in place except for the art glass. The landscaping around the Temple is also evolving with trees planted along the perimeter, sod laid, and various rocks strategically placed to enhance the aesthetics of the grounds.

This Temple will serve as the sixth in Utah and comes at a time when there are approximately 16.8 million members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, along with nearly 500 congregations in the state.
