The announcement for the Lindon Utah Temple was made on October 4, 2020, by Prophet Russell M. Nelson. Shortly after, the groundbreaking and site dedication took place on April 23, 2022. Elder Kevin W. Pearson led this pivotal event, expressing hopes that “the construction of Thy holy house here in Lindon continue to bless this community with peace, love, and unity.”

Architectural Features and Design

Building Specifications

The Temple spans an expansive 87,005 square feet, built on 11.87 acres, at an elevation of 4,817 feet. Stunning granite makes up the exterior, while unique architectural elements include two attached end spires, distinctively lacking a gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue.

Interior Layout

Inside, the Lindon Utah Temple features four instruction rooms, each with a seating capacity of 50 people, along with four sealing rooms and two baptistries. The decor emphasizes the region’s agrarian roots, with stained glass elements reflecting the beautiful Linden Tree Flower.

Outdoor Spaces

The design also considers outdoor aesthetics, showcasing a bridal party area at the north-east corner, where stunning photographs can be taken against the backdrop of the Temple. Surrounding the Temple, a circular parking lot is complemented by black ornamental fencing that adds elegance to the surroundings.

Key Dates and Community Impact

The Lindon Utah Temple will be dedicated on May 3, 2026. This Temple will mark the 25th dedicated Temple in Utah and the seventh Temple built in Utah County.
