LDS Temple News Presents the Lindon Utah Temple House of the Lord Holiness to the Lord

The Lindon Utah Temple, located at 850 E Center Street, Lindon, Utah 84042, is set to be a significant addition to the area. Announced on October 4, 2020, by Prophet Russell M. Nelson, this new Temple aims to serve the needs of the local population and create a space for spiritual reflection and growth.

Construction and Design Details

The groundbreaking and site dedication took place on April 23, 2022, presided over by Elder Kevin W. Pearson. During this event, he expressed hope that the construction of this holy house in Lindon would be a source of peace, love, and unity for the area. Spanning 11.87 acres, the Temple features an elegant granite exterior, complemented by two attached end spires, while notably lacking a gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue.

With a total floor area of 87,005 square feet, it houses four instruction rooms, each seating 50 individuals, along with four sealing rooms and two baptistries. This design offers ample room for various functions.

Architectural Finishes

The Temple’s decor will reflect the agrarian roots of the area, including motifs inspired by the Linden Tree Flower in the stained glass and throughout the interior spaces. Additionally, a picturesque gathering area at the Northeast corner will provide a lovely backdrop for bridal parties to capture photographs with the Temple in view.

Surrounding Features

A circular parking lot, enclosed by black ornamental fencing, offers visitors convenient access while enhancing the Temple’s visual appeal. The lush landscaping surrounding the area promotes a serene atmosphere conducive to reflection.

Open House and Dedication Schedule

The Lindon Utah Temple’s open house is scheduled from March 12, 2026, through April 11, 2026. This period will allow people to explore the beautiful spaces within before the official dedication on May 3, 2026.

As the 25th Temple dedicated in Utah and the seventh within Utah County, the Lindon Utah Temple reinforces the enduring spiritual commitment of this beautiful region. Lynn McKinlay Brätt and Elizabeth Ann Prestwich Brätt have been appointed as the first President and Matron of the Temple, respectively.

With its magnificent design and thoughtful features, the Lindon Utah Temple is poised to enrich the lives of the local population of approximately 11,000, situated just south of Pleasant Grove and north of Orem. This Temple signifies a new chapter in the spiritual landscape of Utah, providing a welcoming space for those seeking spiritual growth and community.
