The Lindon Utah Temple is a significant addition to the architectural and spiritual landscape of Lindon, Utah. Located at 850 E Center Street, this Temple is poised to serve as a meaningful center for individuals and families in the area.
Timeline of Events
The announcement of the Lindon Utah Temple was made on October 4, 2020, by the Prophet Russell M. Nelson. Shortly thereafter, on April 23, 2022, the groundbreaking and site dedication took place, led by Elder Kevin W. Pearson. In his dedication, he expressed hopes that “the construction of Thy holy house here in Lindon continue to bless this community with peace, love and unity.”
The Temple will have its dedication on May 3, 2026, and it will be open for public viewing from March 12, 2026, through April 11, 2026. With a total floor area of 87,005 square feet, the Lindon Utah Temple is being built on 11.87 acres, at an elevation of 4,817 feet.
Architectural Features
The exterior of the Lindon Utah Temple is made from granite, featuring two attached end spires. Notably, there is no gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue, which differentiates it from many other Temples. Inside, the Temple houses four instruction rooms, each seating 50 people, along with four sealing rooms and two baptistries.
Unique Design Elements
The decor throughout the Temple includes stained glass that reflects the area’s agrarian roots, incorporating designs inspired by the Linden Tree Flower. Additionally, a designated area at the northeast corner provides an ideal spot for bridal parties to take photographs with the Temple in the background.
Parking and Landscaping
The Temple’s parking lot will surround the building in a circular fashion, accentuated by black ornamental fencing, ensuring easy access for those attending.
Community Impact
As Utah’s 25th dedicated Temple, the Lindon Utah Temple is also the seventh Temple built in Utah County. It aims to provide support for the small city of Lindon, which has a population of approximately 11,000, located just south of Pleasant Grove and north of Orem.

The first President and Matron of the Temple will be Lynn McKinlay Brätt and Elizabeth Ann Prestwich Brätt, guiding the operations and helping foster a sense of connection among those who participate.
