Its announcement was made by Prophet Russell M. Nelson on October 4, 2020, marking an important milestone for the area.
Open House Schedule
An Open House for the Lindon Utah Temple is scheduled from March 12, 2026, through April 11, 2026. This event will offer an opportunity for individuals to gain insights into the building and its purpose before the formal dedication.
Construction and Architectural Features
The groundbreaking and site dedication took place on April 23, 2022, led by Elder Kevin W. Pearson, who emphasized the hope that the Temple would contribute to peace, love, and unity in the Lindon area.

- Acres: The Temple is built on an expansive 11.87 acres.
- Exterior: Crafted from granite, the exterior exudes elegance and strength.
- Architectural Design: It features two attached end spires and is unique for having no gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue.

- Rooms:
- There are four instruction rooms, each seating up to 50 people.
- Four sealing rooms add to the Temple’s offerings.
- The facility also includes two baptistries.

The decor throughout the Temple incorporates stained glass that reflects local agrarian roots, prominently featuring the Linden Tree Flower. An attractive area for bridal parties has been thoughtfully designed at the northeast corner, providing picturesque backdrops for photographs.

The layout includes a circular parking lot surrounding the Temple, enhanced with black ornamental fencing to create an inviting atmosphere.
Supporting the Local Area
This Temple will serve as the 25th dedicated Temple in Utah and the seventh in Utah County. It will cater to Lindon, a city with a population of approximately 11,000 people, located just south of Pleasant Grove and north of Orem. The first President and Matron of the Temple will be Lynn McKinlay Brätt and Elizabeth Ann Prestwich Brätt.
