At the time, nearly 6% of Nevada’s population identified as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, amounting to about 180,000 individuals organized into over 360 congregations statewide. This Temple marks a pivotal moment as it stands as the fourth in Nevada, joining the Las Vegas Nevada Temple, dedicated in 1989, and the Reno Nevada Temple, dedicated in 2000.
