LDS Temple News Presents the Lindon Utah Temple Open House from March 12, 2026, through April 11, 2026. Get ready for an incredible addition to our community that promises to transform the spiritual landscape—introducing the Lindon Utah Temple! Nestled against the stunning backdrop of the Wasatch Mountains, this temple will serve as a powerful symbol of faith, unity, and hope in our area.
The journey towards this remarkable structure began on April 23, 2022, with a groundbreaking ceremony led by Elder Kevin W. Pearson, President of the Utah Area. It was an inspiring moment filled with energy and anticipation as community members gathered to witness shovels breaking ground on what will become a cherished space for many. Elder Pearson’s heartfelt prayer emphasized the temple’s mission: to bring peace, love, and deep connections to our community—a cornerstone of this project’s vision.
Once completed, the Lindon Utah Temple will stand tall with three stories encompassing over 87,005 square feet of sacredness designed to inspire its visitors. As you draw closer, you’ll be struck by its beautiful granite exterior and the impressive double spires that reach majestically into the sky, symbolizing a profound connection between heaven and earth. The architecture is a thoughtful nod to our area’s agricultural heritage, adorned with artistic elements that showcase the beloved linden tree flower.
Step inside the temple, and you’ll immediately feel a sense of warmth and welcome, inviting individuals and families to gather in spiritual fellowship. The interior will boast four spacious instruction rooms, four sealing rooms, and two baptistries, all crafted to facilitate moments of reflection and personal growth in faith. This structure is more than just a building; it’s a sanctuary designed for both individual and communal spirituality.
Beyond its walls, the temple grounds will be beautifully landscaped, featuring a picturesque gathering area in the northeast corner, ideal for bridal parties looking to capture unforgettable moments with the temple and the stunning Mount Timpanogos as the backdrop. The surrounding parking area will ensure easy access for all who wish to visit.
Mark your calendars! From March 12 to April 11, 2026, the public is invited to explore the temple during a special open house. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience its beauty and spirit before the official opening on May 3, 2026.
The Lindon Utah Temple is set to become a hub of connection and hope for approximately 11,000 residents in the area. As the twenty-fifth temple in Utah, it will stand as a powerful reminder of the strength and unity found in faith and community. This temple will enhance the lives of many, fostering celebrations, moments of reflection, and shared joys. We eagerly anticipate the positive impact this beautiful place will have on our community for generations to come!
