Celebrating the Lindon Utah Temple
The Lindon Utah Temple is set to enhance the landscape of Lindon, Utah, with its rich design and thoughtful features. Located at 850 E Center Street in Lindon, the Temple is positioned on 11.87 acres and stands at an elevation of 4,817 feet.
Lindon Temple Open House
The journey of the Lindon Utah Temple began with its announcement by Prophet Russell M. Nelson on October 4, 2020. Following this announcement, the groundbreaking and site dedication occurred on April 23, 2022, led by Elder Kevin W. Pearson. He articulated a vision for the Temple’s construction, stating, “May the construction of Thy holy house here in Lindon continue to bless this community with peace, love and unity.”
The rendering of the Temple was publicly released on April 26, 2021, providing a glimpse of the progress as the building came to life. With a total floor area of 87,005 square feet, the Lindon Utah Temple will feature distinctive architectural elements, including granite exteriors and two attached end spires, without a gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue.
Open House and Dedication
The Lindon Utah Temple Open House is scheduled from March 12, 2026, through April 11, 2026. Following the open house period, the Temple will be dedicated on May 3, 2026. This will mark a significant occasion for the local area and serve as an important addition to the state.
Interior Features
Inside the Temple, four instruction rooms, each seating 50 people, and four sealing rooms will create spaces for various activities. Additionally, there will be two baptistries to accommodate various needs. The decor throughout the Temple will reflect the agrarian roots of the area, with stained glass designs inspired by the Linden Tree Flower.
Memorable Backdrops
At the northeast corner of the Temple, there will be a designated area for bridal parties to take photographs with the Temple in the background, enhancing the celebratory experience. The parking design will include a circular pattern surrounding the Temple, complemented by black ornamental fencing.
