Design and Architectural Details
The McAllen Texas Temple stands elegantly on 10.61 acres, showcasing its commitment to architectural beauty and function.
Exterior and Interior Focus
- Exterior Finish: Comprised of beige precast concrete panels crafted by Gate Precast of Hillsboro, Texas.
- Total Floor Area: Encompasses 27,897 square feet, providing ample space for its dedicated purposes.
The design features a single attached central tower towering at 108 feet, with the Temple itself resting at an elevation of 107 feet above sea level. A steel-frame build supports its refined exterior, while inside, soft-gold broadloom carpet enhances the general areas and instruction rooms. Celestial and sealing rooms are adorned with wall-to-wall wool rugs, and vibrant area rugs in blues, golds, and greens add character to the environment.
Additional Facilities
Complementing the Temple, there’s a meetinghouse of over 19,000 square feet on the same site, designed to accommodate three wards, a stake suite, mission offices, and a distribution center.
