The temple includes two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and one baptistry to accommodate various needs. Along with the temple, a meetinghouse of over 19,000 square feet is being constructed on the same lot. This facility will provide space for three wards, a stake suite, mission offices, and a distribution center.

Impact on the Area

The McAllen Texas Temple is the fifth of its kind to be built in Texas, reflecting the growing presence and commitment of Latter-day Saints in the state. During the site dedication, Elder Rascon expressed gratitude for the rich spiritual heritage of individuals in the nearby valley and across the border into Mexico who have tirelessly worked to further their faith.
