The journey for the Willamette Valley Oregon Temple began on April 4, 2021, when President Russell M. Nelson announced its construction. As part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Oregon is home to approximately 154,000 members and has over 300 congregations. The need for a new Temple became increasingly clear, especially considering the growing member base since settlers first arrived in 1887.
Groundbreaking for the Willamette Valley Oregon Temple occurred on October 29, 2022. Elder Valeri V. Cordón led this ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the Temple’s development. The dedication is scheduled for June 7, 2026, with a media day taking place on April 20, 2026.

Located at 3701 Corporate Way, Springfield, Oregon, this Temple spans 10.5 acres and features a striking architectural design. Here are some of its key attributes:
