With a freshly striped parking lot and fully operational exterior lighting, this project is well on its way to completion. Landscaping and interior finishing are advancing steadily, and we confidently anticipate construction finishing up in early to mid-2026, followed by an eagerly awaited open house and dedication ceremony.
Announced on May 20, 2022, the Montpelier Idaho Temple marks a significant achievement as the eighth temple built in Idaho. Located at Washington St, Montpelier, ID 83254, it boasts a striking central tower and spans an impressive 27,000 square feet. Inside, the temple will feature two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, creating an essential space for worship and community engagement.
Set at an elevation of 5,969 feet and occupying 2.6 acres of picturesque land, this temple will seamlessly integrate into Idaho’s breathtaking landscape. The groundbreaking ceremony on June 17, 2023, led by Elder Ryan K. Olsen, was a powerful moment that brought everyone together, and the blessings offered echoed the strong commitment to support this project.
