The journey of the Draper Utah Temple began on October 2, 2004, when it was officially announced. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on August 5, 2006, led by the Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley. He remarked, “It is a great tribute to our people. They are so faithful in temple attendance, and it is for this reason that we construct this beautiful house of the Lord.” This event marked the beginning of a significant chapter in the area’s spiritual history.
