As you stroll through the stunning “Christ Centered displays, you’ll be swept up in the festive spirit with free activities that bring joy and wonder to all visitors.
This year, even more areas of Temple Square are welcoming guests to enjoy the lights, though some sections, especially around the scaffold covered Salt Lake Temple, remain closed as exciting renovations are underway. Mark your calendars for April 2027, when the temple will reopen with a grand celebration!
The lights are on every day from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 to 10:00 p.m. until January 1, making it the perfect backdrop for an evening stroll. Don’t miss the latest holiday attractions lighting up downtown Salt Lake City, including the dazzling Christmas tree at City Creek Center, the delightful candy windows at Macy’s, the enchanting “The Turning Season display at Eccles Theater, and the festive ice rink at Gallivan Center.

Dine with a View Reserve a table at The Roof restaurant, located on the top floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, and savor a delightful meal while surrounded by breathtaking holiday decor. After its recent renovation, it reopened on November 14, and spots are filling up fast!
Celebrate at the Church History Museum Visit 60 W. North Temple to enjoy musical performances from local community and school groups and marvel at exquisite Victorian Christmas decor. The Giving Machines in the lobby also offer a unique way to give back this season. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays.
Art Meets Christmas at the Conference Center Wander through large, Christmasthemed artwork on display until January. Visit any day from Monday to Saturday, and experience the wonder from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Feel the Joy of Music and the Spoken Word Join us every Sunday at 930 a.m. for a free performance at the Conference Center. Don’t miss the special show on December 14 featuring Block and Arcelusan uplifting way to welcome the season!
Witness the Savior of the World Enjoy this uplifting theatrical experience running daily (except Sundays and Mondays) through December 27 at 2 p.m. and 730 p.m. in the Little Theater. While tickets have been distributed, a standby line will be available for those who want to join last minute!
