Mesa Arizona Temple Christmas Lights

Mesa Temple Christmas Lights in full swing

Presenting the Mesa Arizona Temple, a remarkable testament to faith and architectural mastery in Arizona! Located at 101 S. LeSueur, Mesa, Arizona 85204, this temple stands proudly as the seventh dedicated temple currently in operation, embodying a significant part of our community’s spiritual heritage.

Announced on October 9, 1919, the Mesa Arizona Temple is a cornerstone of our faith, rich in history and purpose. The recent open house from October 16 to November 20, 2021, led by the esteemed Prophet Dallin H. Oaks, offered the public a unique opportunity to connect with its sacred essence. Spanning an impressive 20 acres, this temple is a sanctuary that inspires and uplifts all who visit.

Its striking exterior features a distinctive glazed eggshell finish, reinforced with 130 tons of steel, combining resilience and beauty. The architectural details, including a flat roof adorned with sculpted friezes, carry deep significance, symbolizing Isaiah’s promise in the last days.

Inside, the temple impresses with four instruction rooms, six sealing rooms, and a baptistry—all within a spacious 75,000 square feet. Standing at a commanding height of 53 feet and set at an elevation of 1,240 feet, the Mesa Arizona Temple proudly holds the title of the first temple built in Arizona, a legacy of dedication and vision.

Once known simply as the Arizona Temple, it has adeptly adapted to modern times, transitioning from live performances to innovative displays that resonate deeply with visitors today.

Come and experience the Mesa Arizona Temple—a powerful blend of history, faith, and stunning design that leaves an indelible mark on everyone who steps through its doors!
