The Mesa Arizona Temple is no ordinary structure; it’s built on a generous 20 acres and boasts an impressive 75,000 square feet. Imagine the grandeur of its exterior, finished in concrete reinforced with 130 tons of steel and adorned with a stunning glazed eggshell finish. The architectural design features a flat roof elegantly complemented by sculpted friezes, enriching the temple’s beauty.
Inside this sacred space, you’ll find four instruction rooms, six sealing rooms, and one baptistry, each designed to facilitate various sacred ceremonies.
In 2021, the temple opened its doors to the public for a special open house, running from October 16th to November 20th, led by President Dallin H. Oaks. Visitors had the unique opportunity to explore its serene interiors, which, while once offering live acting now just performed by display screens.
