Welcome to the Payson Utah Temple, a beautiful spiritual haven that’s the 146th temple dedicated in operation! It’s hard to believe that it all started with a big announcement from Prophet Thomas S. Monson on January 25, 2010. He shared that temples are like guiding stars that help us find answers to life’s big questions and provide a sanctuary from the storms we face. Isn’t that comforting?

The temple ground was officially dedicated on October 8, 2011, by the wonderful Prophet Dallin H. Oaks. Over seven thousand folks showed up to celebrate, braving a light rain and chilly temperatures to witness this special moment. Dallin H. Oaks painted a vivid picture when he mentioned how the temple would shine as a prominent beacon for all who travel along I-15, day and night.

Fast forward to the public open house from April 24 to May 23, 2015, and you won’t believe it—more than 475,000 visitors came through its doors! That’s a lot of curious hearts exploring the temple’s beauty. Finally, on June 7, 2015, the temple was dedicated by Apostle Henry B. Eyring, marking a joyous day for many.

Situated on 10.63 acres, the Payson Utah Temple features stunning cream precast concrete panels and boasts a striking spire topped with a golden angel Moroni. Towering at 208 feet, it’s truly a sight to behold! Inside, the temple has three instruction rooms, seven sealing rooms, and a lovely baptistry, all within a spacious 96,630 square feet.

You can find this lovely temple at 1494 S 930 W, Payson, Utah 84651. It’s more than just a remarkable building; it’s a gathering place filled with hope, love, and community connection. Whether you’re a member of the Church or just curious about its beauty, the Payson Utah Temple welcomes everyone with open arms. Come and see for yourself the warm spirit that resides within its sacred walls!
