A public open house for the recently completed Lindon Utah Temple has been announced for Thursday, March 12 through Saturday, April 11, 2026
The announcement of the Lindon Utah Temple came from Prophet Russell M. Nelson on October 4, 2020. Following this pivotal moment, the groundbreaking and site dedication took place on April 23, 2022. Elder Kevin W. Pearson officiated the ceremony, stating a heartfelt wish that the construction of the Temple would bless the area with peace, love, and unity.
Architectural Features and Specifications
Perched at an elevation of 4,817 feet, the Temple is situated on 11.87 acres of land at 850 E Center Street, Lindon, Utah 84042. The exterior is beautifully clad in granite and features two attached end spires. Unlike many other Temples, it will not include a gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue.
The total floor area of the Lindon Utah Temple measures 87,005 square feet. Inside, there are four instruction rooms, each seating up to 50 people, alongside four sealing rooms and two baptistries, designed to facilitate various spiritual needs within the space.
Unique Decor
The interior decor of the Temple will reflect the agrarian roots of the area, prominently featuring the Linden Tree Flower in the stained glass and throughout various spaces within the Temple. This thoughtful design choice serves to connect the Temple more deeply with its surroundings.
