Exciting news for a Temple in Rapid City, South Dakota! On April 6, 2025, during the 195th Annual General Conference, Prophet Russell M. Nelson announced plans for the Rapid City South Dakota Temple. This monumental initiative is sure to bring a sense of unity and spiritual growth to the area.

While we eagerly await more details, it’s important to note that there’s currently no official rendering of the temple. Right now, it’s still in the planning stages, and the specific location has yet to be revealed. However, it’s anticipated that the temple will be nestled amidst the stunning landscapes of the Black Hills, near the iconic Mount Rushmore National Memorial.

At the time of the announcement, the Rapid City area boasted over 11,500 faithful members and 30 congregations, showcasing a vibrant and growing area ready to embrace this new Temple.
