Announced by Prophet Russell M. Nelson at the 194th General Conference on October 5, 2019, the Bentonville Arkansas Temple was greeted with great anticipation. The official rendering of the Temple was publicly unveiled on August 28, 2020, showcasing its striking granite exterior and unique architectural features.
Occupying an 18.62-acre site, the temple boasts a footprint of 28,472 square feet and stands at an impressive height of 111 feet and 8 inches. Its architectural design includes a single attached central spire, although notably, it does not feature a gold-leafed Angel Moroni.
Facilities and Design
The interior of the Bentonville Arkansas Temple is crafted with great care and attention to detail. It houses two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, providing essential spaces for Temple work for its patrons. Beautiful decorative wood inlay throughout the interiors reflects motifs of the dogwood blossom, diamonds, and quilting, creating a serene atmosphere for reflection and communion.
The interior carpets are elegantly adorned in gold broadloom, and the decorative light fixtures, composed of glass, bronze, and crystal, enhance the Bentonville LDS Temple’s spirituality and elegance.

They feature the dogwood blossom, a local spring flower, as well as sunbursts and diamond designs, bringing a touch of nature’s beauty indoors.
