Less than two years later, groundbreaking and site dedication were held on March 30, 1998, with Elder Hugh W. Pinnock leading the ceremony, marking the commencement of construction on this sacred site.

Following its construction, the temple opened its doors to the public for an open house from October 8th through the 23rd, 1999, allowing the community to tour the beautiful interior and learn about its purpose. The temple was officially dedicated by Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley on November 20th and 21st, 1999, a historic event that consecrated the building for divine service and prayer.
