Discovering the Culiacán Mexico Temple: A New Chapter for Spiritual Growth

Exciting developments are underway in Culiacán, Mexico, where the Culiacán Mexico Temple is set to become a significant addition to the landscape. Located off Avenida Milenium in the Colonia Country Tres Rios, this sacred space will be positioned between Miguel Tamayo Espinoza de los Monteros and Boulevard José María Figueroa Díaz.

The announcement of the Culiacán Mexico Temple was made on October 3, 2021, by the Prophet Russell M. Nelson. His heartfelt message emphasized the importance of dedicating time to the Lord in His holy house, highlighting that nothing can strengthen one’s spiritual foundation quite like engaging in temple service.

The rendering of the Culiacán Mexico Temple was revealed on March 23, 2026, showcasing its elegant design and purpose. When completed, this 10,000-square-foot edifice will not only serve spiritual needs but will also feature accommodation for patrons on the same lot.

Currently, Mexico boasts a vibrant Latter-day Saint population of over 1.5 million, with nearly 1,900 congregations spread across the country. With 14 operating Temples already, the addition of the Culiacán Mexico Temple is anticipated to enhance the spiritual experience within this extensive network.

Presently, the Culiacán Mexico Temple project remains in the planning stages, and while excitement continues to build, no groundbreaking date has been announced. The chosen site encompasses a generous 5-acre lot, offering ample space for both the temple and its accompanying amenities.

As the planning progresses, the Culiacán Mexico Temple promises to be a pivotal space for spiritual enrichment, fostering connections and a deeper understanding of faith among its future participants. Stay tuned for further updates as this significant undertaking develops.
