Nestled in the heart of Gilbert, Arizona, the Gilbert Arizona Temple stands as the 142nd dedicated Temple in operation. Located at 3301 S Greenfield Rd, this exquisite facility is a testament to architectural beauty and spiritual significance.

A Journey Through Time

The road to the Gilbert Arizona Temple began when it was announced on April 26, 2008. This announcement marked the beginning of a cherished vision for many. The groundbreaking and site dedication took place on November 13, 2010, led by Elder Claudio R.M. Costa, bringing the dream closer to reality.

By early 2014, excitement reached a crescendo with a public open house running from January 18 through February 15, welcoming an impressive 407,020 attendees. The temple’s grand dedication occurred on March 2, 2014, officiated by Prophet Thomas S. Monson, with Henry B. Eyring reading the dedicatory prayer.

Architectural Elegance

Covering 15.38 acres, the Gilbert Arizona Temple boasts an impressive 85,326 square feet and rises to a height of 195 feet. Its striking exterior is finished with precast concrete panels, giving it a modern and dignified appearance. Architectural fans will appreciate the single attached central spire capped by a beautifully crafted Gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue, which was installed on May 15, 2012.

Inside, the facility is thoughtfully designed with three instruction rooms, seven sealing rooms, and one baptistry, providing ample space for a variety of activities.
