Entrance into the celestial room in the Lindon Utah Temple

The Lindon Utah Temple, a significant addition to the beautiful landscape of Utah, will officially open its doors for a special open house from March 12, 2026, to April 11, 2026. This remarkable establishment is situated at 850 E Center Street, Lindon, Utah 84042.

The announcement of the Lindon Utah Temple was made on October 4, 2020, by the Prophet Russell M. Nelson. This moment marked the beginning of an exciting journey for the residents of Lindon and beyond. Following this announcement, the groundbreaking and site dedication took place on April 23, 2022. Elder Kevin W. Pearson, who led the ceremony, expressed hopes that the construction of this sacred place would bring peace, love, and unity to those in the area.

Once completed, the Lindon Utah Temple will be dedicated on May 3, 2026. Built on an expansive 11.87 acres, this impressive facility features an exterior crafted from granite and designed with two attached end spires, notably without a gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue.

The Temple, covering a total floor area of 87,005 square feet, includes four instruction rooms, each accommodating 50 individuals, as well as four sealing rooms and two baptistries. Located at an elevation of 4,817 feet, it boasts a striking visual presence in the region.

A unique aspect of the Lindon Utah Temple is its interior decor, which incorporates the area’s agrarian roots, prominently featuring the Linden Tree Flower in its stained glass and throughout the building. At the northeast corner, a dedicated area allows bridal parties to capture memorable photographs with the Temple as a picturesque backdrop.

Surrounding the Temple, a parking lot will be constructed in a circular fashion, adorned with black ornamental fencing to enhance the aesthetic appeal. The rendering of this beautiful facility was revealed to the public on April 26, 2021.

The Lindon Utah Temple will be the 25th dedicated Temple in Utah and the seventh in Utah County. This Temple holds great promise for the small city of Lindon, which is home to around 11,000 residents, situated just south of Pleasant Grove and north of Orem.

The first President and Matron of the Lindon Utah Temple will be Lynn McKinlay Brätt and Elizabeth Ann Prestwich Brätt, a pair entrusted with overseeing the spiritual and operational aspects of this remarkable location.

As the Lindon Utah Temple approaches its completion, the anticipation within the community continues to grow, embodying a spirit of excitement and unity that will surely resonate for years to come.
