He reflected on his familial ties to the area, stating, “My dear mother was born in Ephraim, not far from this very temple site. My father was born in Manti. Three of my four grandparents were born here in Ephraim. All eight of my great-grandparents lived in Ephraim.” His dedicatory prayer emphasized gratitude for ancestors and the spiritual foundations they laid.
Architectural Features
The Ephraim Utah Temple spans an impressive 39,000 square feet and sits on 9.16 acres, with an elevation of 5,567 feet. Inside, visitors will find four instruction rooms, three sealing rooms, and a baptistry designed to accommodate various needs.
