The announcement of the Ephraim Utah Temple came on May 1, 2021, when Church leadership revealed plans for this new addition to the growing number of Temples worldwide. Construction plans moved forward with considerable momentum. On August 27, 2022, Prophet Russell M. Nelson presided over the groundbreaking and site dedication ceremony, officially launching the construction phase of this significant undertaking.

The architectural rendering was released to the public on March 4, 2022, giving members their first detailed glimpse of what the finished Temple would look like.

The Ephraim Utah Temple will encompass 39,000 square feet of carefully designed interior space. The Temple’s layout includes:
