The story of the Gilbert Arizona Temple began on April 26, 2008, when the announcement was made, igniting excitement among many. The official groundbreaking and site dedication took place on November 13, 2010, led by Elder Claudio R.M. Costa. After years of anticipation, the public opened its doors from January 18 through February 15, 2014, and an impressive 407,020 individuals took the opportunity to explore this beautiful space.
On March 2, 2014, the Temple was dedicated by the Prophet Thomas S. Monson, with the dedicatory prayer read by Henry B. Eyring. The dedication marked a significant milestone, welcoming this majestic building into its full purpose.
