The groundbreaking and site dedication for the Grand Rapids Michigan Temple took place on December 4, 2024, presided over by Elder Mathias Held of the North America Northeast Area Presidency. Design and Size
The Grand Rapids Michigan Temple spans 20,123 square feet and is thoughtfully built over 10.32 acres. With an elevation of 786 feet and a height of 95 feet, this Temple features a single attached end spire, distinguishing it as an architectural achievement. Notably, it does not include a Gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue, a feature found in many other Temples.
Facilities
Inside, the Temple includes two instruction rooms, one sealing room, and a baptistry, catering to a variety of needs. Its single-story design offers a serene atmosphere, making it suitable for all who come to engage with its offerings.
