Heber Valley Utah Temple: Exciting Developments Ahead

The Heber Valley Utah Temple is witnessing significant progress as dewatering efforts are now underway. This phase of construction involves drilling 20 wells, allowing water to be pumped into large tanks and subsequently transferred to Lake Creek, located just south of the site. Remarkably, these dewatering activities are set to occur with no environmental impact on the surrounding area.

Construction Update

In a positive development, the construction injunction that had previously been in place has been lifted. This means that work on the Heber Valley Utah Temple is moving forward without further delays, bringing us one step closer to its completion.

Key Features

The Heber Valley Utah Temple will be situated at 1400 E Center St, Heber City, Utah 84032, on an expansive 18.17-acre lot. Announced on October 3, 2021, the groundbreaking ceremony took place on October 8, 2022, led by Prophet Russell M. Nelson during the October 2021 General Conference.

With a total area of 87,626 square feet, the Heber Valley Utah Temple qualifies as a large temple within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It boasts impressive architectural features, including two attached end towers and the absence of a Gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue. Inside, there will be four instruction rooms, four sealing rooms, and a single baptistry to serve future needs.

Elevation and Design

Set to rise to a height of 210 feet at an elevation of 6,711 feet, the Heber Valley Utah Temple will be a striking addition to the picturesque Heber Valley. This beautiful rural mountain valley, located a little over 40 miles from Salt Lake City, is known for its breathtaking views and serene ambiance.
