Heber Valley Utah Temple: A Glimpse Into the Future

The Heber Valley Utah Temple, located at 1400 E Center St, Heber City, Utah, is making significant strides in its development. Recently, the dewatering phase commenced, involving the drilling of 20 wells. Water will be pumped into large tanks and transported to Lake Creek, situated just south of the site. This process has been designed to ensure there will be no environmental impact.

The construction injunction for the Heber Valley Utah Temple was lifted, allowing work to proceed smoothly. This milestone marks a crucial step in the journey towards completion.

Announced on October 3, 2021, the groundbreaking and site dedication took place on October 8, 2022, led by Prophet Russell M. Nelson. This event was a highlight shared during the October 2021 General Conference.

Set to occupy an impressive 18.17 acres, the Heber Valley Utah Temple will feature distinctive architectural elements, including two attached end towers. Notably, it will not have the Gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue that is often seen atop other temples.

Inside, the Temple will house four instruction rooms, four sealing rooms, and a single baptistry. It is categorized as a large Temple, as it measures 87,626 square feet, making it over 80,000 square feet in total. The building will reach a height of 210 feet, with its final elevation sitting at 6,711 feet.

Upon completion, the Heber Valley Utah Temple will stand as the 28th Temple in Utah, reflecting the ongoing growth and dedication of the Latter-day Saint community in the region. The anticipation surrounding this construction is tangible, and the impact it is expected to have on the local area is significant.

As the development progresses, many look forward to seeing how the Heber Valley Utah Temple will enhance the beauty and spirit of Heber Valley.
