Heber Valley Utah Temple: A New Landmark in Wasatch County

The Heber Valley Utah Temple is on the horizon, with exciting developments progressing at the site. Currently, dewatering is underway as part of essential preparations. This involves drilling 20 wells, which will pump water into large tanks before transferring it to Lake Creek, located just south of the site. Notably, this process will have no negative environmental impact on the area, ensuring that nature remains in harmony with the construction efforts.

On another positive note, the construction injunction for the Heber Valley Utah Temple has been lifted, allowing more momentum for the project to move forward. This adds to the eagerness of those anticipating the completion of the Temple at 1400 E Center St, Heber City, Utah 84032.

Announced on October 3, 2021, the Heber Valley Utah Temple has made significant progress since its groundbreaking and site dedication on October 8, 2022, led by Prophet Russell M. Nelson. This moment was highlighted during the October 2021 General Conference, elevating the excitement within the area.

The Temple will occupy an 18.17-acre lot and is designed with impressive architectural features, including two attached end towers. Unlike many others, this Temple will not feature a Gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue.

Within the Temple, there will be four instruction rooms and four sealing rooms, alongside a single baptistry. Its size classifies it as a large Temple, with a total area of 87,626 square feet, far exceeding the 80,000 square foot threshold established by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Additionally, it will reach a height of 210 feet, standing majestically at an elevation of 6,711 feet.

For those unfamiliar with the Heber Valley, this picturesque rural mountain valley in Wasatch County is located just over 40 miles from Salt Lake City. Its scenic beauty will undoubtedly enhance the overall experience of the Heber Valley Utah Temple.

Once completed, the Heber Valley Utah Temple will be the 28th Temple in Utah, marking yet another milestone for the region and those who hold its mission dear. The anticipation continues to build as progress advances, promising a beautiful addition to the Heber Valley. Keep an eye on future updates as this exciting chapter unfolds!
