As part of the construction process, dewatering has commenced, with 20 wells being drilled. The collected water will be pumped into large tanks and directed to Lake Creek, just south of the site. This dewatering effort has been designed to ensure that there is no environmental impact on the surrounding area.
Additionally, the construction injunction that was previously in place has been lifted, allowing work to progress smoothly. The groundbreaking and site dedication took place on October 8, 2022, an event presided over by Prophet Russell M. Nelson, which was first announced at the October 2021 General Conference.

At 87,626 square feet, it will be classified as a large Temple within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with a height of 210 feet and an elevation of 6,711 feet once completed.
