Welcome to the Red Cliffs Utah Temple—a beautiful new addition to the stunning landscape of St. George, Utah! This Temple was announced on October 7, 2018, by Prophet Russell M. Nelson, and it’s the 20th Temple built in the state, which is quite a milestone for our Temple!

The groundbreaking was held on November 7, 2020, with Apostle Jeffrey R. Holland leading the ceremony. He took a moment to honor the pioneers who once labored in this area, helping to establish the lovely St. George Temple, which has been a source of inspiration for over 150 years.  Apostle Jeffrey R. Holland said, “We salute those pioneers who, with sacrifice and sweat, built just a mile or so away the beautiful St. George temple that has provided a symbolic anchor of our faith in this part of the state for a century and a half.”

Fast forward to today, and the Red Cliffs Utah Temple has become the 189th dedicated Temple in operation! It spans a lovely 15.31 acres and is located at 1555 S Red Cliffs Temple Ln. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by palm trees lining the entrance boulevard, setting the stage for a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The open house was from February 1 to March 2, 2024, led by Apostle Henry B. Eyring. It was the perfect opportunity to explore the 96,277 square feet of sacred space! You’ll find four instruction rooms, six sealing rooms, and a tranquil baptistry decorated with beautiful designs inspired by members plants like succulents and vibrant Indian paintbrushes.

The interior design of the Red Cliffs Utah Temple is a true reflection of its stunning surroundings. With elegant swirls of vines and flowers throughout, every detail has been lovingly crafted to create a peaceful and inspiring environment. The baptistry area is particularly special, drawing inspiration from the unique succulents of the region.

Outside, you’ll discover three charming pools with gentle waterfalls that provide a cool, refreshing experience, perfect for quiet moments of reflection. There are also lovely fountains, shade Temples, and inviting plazas where you can relax and take in the beauty around you.

As the second Temple in Washington County, the Red Cliffs Utah Temple is more than just a place of Temple work—it’s a place where Temple, faith, and the natural beauty of this area come together. The stained glass windows highlight the members flora beautifully, while the cast bronze and painted steel flowers found in the baptismal font and stairway railings add unique touches throughout the Temple.

We would love for you to come and experience all that the Red Cliffs Utah Temple has to offer. It’s a warm and welcoming space that embraces everyone and celebrates our shared faith and beautiful surroundings!
